@ChadPergram

WH’s Sanders on Fri Trump/Schumer mtg: Schumer’s memory is hazy because his account of Friday’s meeting is false. And the President’s position is clear: we will not negotiate on the status of unlawful immigrants while..Schumer hold(s)..government..hostage.

Sigh...

Someone get Rosie O'Donnell out of the white house please. She does not deserve to be press secretary.

3 week CR with a pledge to deal with immigration before DACA deadline shows promise, I’m told by a WH official engaged in talks. @Acosta

They're really going to fall for this shit?

They'll deport as many Dreamers as possible within those 3 weeks.

We'll wait 3 weeks, and then issue will be punting again, or it'll be over because GOP will only put a poison pilled bill for a vote.

@LisaMascaro
GOP's @JohnCornyn pans Gang of 19/hopes for #immigration floor time:
"I just don't think they're going to get -- other than a statement of good faith & intentions to address the #DACA situation -- I don't think anybody's going to give them any procedural guarantees."

Cornyn says Congress will have to deal w/#immigration in Feb anyway to meet March 5 #DACA termination deadline.
"I don't know why we’re fighting about it when we all know it’s going to have to be resolved in February."

@David_J_Bier
David Bier Retweeted Lisa Mascaro
We all know? Who is he kidding? We only know what we have seen thus far: bad faith negotiations from the White House and ludicrous offers from GOP leaders

They are actually falling for this bullshit. WHAT ABOUT THE HOUSE?!?? No one is considering that this will go no where in the House.

Just spoke with @JeffFlake. He says the outline of the deal presented to McConnell is "to move the commitment to go to immigration—to move it sooner, prior to Feb. 8."

A hard commitment? "A motion to proceed." -- @desiderioDC

I'm hoping Schumer & Durbin don't. I think they are our only hope.

At this pint I am just happy democrats gave trump a shutdown. People will always remember who the president was. Trumps words, not mine. Hard to believe they came this far only to cave in
