So, I had a traffic violation. Since it's my first one, I was given the option of taking a class to get that off my record, or paying the fine and keeping the traffic violation on my record; I chose the class and I'm scheduled for 02/24. I'm thinking of waiting until either I get my new checks to apply for a re-newel (I expire 10/12/18 ) or until the class is out of the way (because I'm sacred it'll come to bite me in the ass, specially with the political climate).

Originally, I was thinking on waiting to send my renewal until like march/may because of the timeline, but I see some already got their biometrics appointments after sending..... should I risk it? Even though I expire 10/12/18? I don't really have many options at this point and wanted to see how it was going for everyone.

Traffic violations usually don't effect immigration status or DACA. What kind of traffic violation? Were you arrested?

It was for driving on a red light, I mistook it for the green light on the traffic light that was AFTER the one I crossed. And thankfully I wasn’t because “no past offenses were found” I was given a ticket and a warning.
