This forum gets LOTS of lurkers and not many posters, those lurkers may very well be calling but it is always nice to have some confirmation and so we have this post.

I will be offering two pay pal gift cards, one for $50 and a second for $25 to whomever can accurately list the most number of senate staffer names. I have been keeping track of this for the past week and have a pretty substantial list to compare to and determine the winner. The person who can name the most will be emailed a $50 pay pal gift card. The $25 pay pal gift card will be randomly given to someone (drawn randomly) out of all the entries that are received. The only other condition for being eligible is that you have made at least 15 posts in the forum and at least one of which being an introduction.

Is this clear enough?

RULES:

1. Call to support Dream Act;
2. Strike up a conversation with staffer or just flat out ask their name;
3. Register for this forum and make at least 15 posts;
4. Make your introduction in the "New Members" section; and
5. PM me your entry by 5 p.m. D.C. Time. Include the name of the senator the staffer works with and then the name(s) of the staffer.
5a. I may extend the contest as need be but at the very latest it will be extended up until 5 p.m.

MODS= DO NOT move this please. We are in need of AS MUCH support as possible right now!

^^^^ generous incentive on your behalf. i hope it motivates people. one would think being given an opportunity to earn legal status, be "officially" American, contribute to the U.S., work, travel, drive, and live without the fear of persecution would be enough. good idea though. please, everyone who needs a little push to participate, use this as your sign that you were meant to do something more than just hope. even if you don't have long distance, you can call 1800-828-0498, give the senator's name, and you will be connected at no charge.

Great idea!

Staffers scare me, though - or at least I was caught off-guard today. Never had a live person pick up the phone on the other end before (previously I've been calling in the evenings). He asked me for my name and I wasn't sure I felt comfortable giving it out so I think I came off as somewhat rude/flustered/something - and I ended that call too soon. I love fax/email, but I know calling makes a huge impact.

I'm so new at this.

And on that note, I should probably get some sleep.

Haha, I'm with you, Sparklepouf. I'm way better with the voice mail than with the staffers. I still call the same amount, but I think I'm a lot less effective...

Also, AWESOME idea, quaker. This sort of thing shouldn't be necessary considering that not getting deported should be a way better incentive than money, but whatever helps, helps.

Nice incentive Quaker. Much props to you. I am one of the many " Lurkers" I dont post alot but I DO CALL!! My sister calls, the families I nanny for call and my nice and all her firends have been calling as well as faxing. I know reassurance is always nice but trust when I say people are calling even though they aren't posting.
