Personally I think it was just a Schumer plot to say "Hey we tried". For him to re-open the government without even speaking to Trump makes no sense.

Yes the turtle is a liar and can't be trusted, but honestly I see about the same odds as forcing a spending bill through all three branches of gov with DA attached, when they all explicitly said hell no.

I'm not too bummed about this as I don't see any other damage control moves left, just bought more time for further talks. Whether it'll work or not we'll see.

Highly doubt republicans will pass anything. Democrats only option is to allow us to get screwed and our work authorizations expire so they can use us as sob stories to campaign for nov elections.
Im not blaming schumer, but i find something very fishy in how he shutdown the govt and didnt even try to deliver.

If they were going to hold their grounds for only 3 days then what was the point of this government shutdown? We literally got nothing in return for this. I do not expect anything to happen. If Bridge Act is the best we might get then I will make plans to leave. I have been in this dilemma for too long.

No need to argue. We now know where we stand, and our chances are close to zero.

And don't forget that zombie DACA is going to die for good soon enough.

We got an assurance to put a bill up for vote. That's what we've been wanting all along.

An empty promise that will go nowhere.
