Saw a few people post on about this. I did my research on getting a Canadien visa, looks like they might be able to help DACA recipients. This is just an option if we do not get a solution to our status. The world is a big place!

I was thinking about it but it just doesn't make sense in my situation.
I hate cold weather and my entire family is here. Some are US citizens or are waiting on a petition.
I think it's best that I try to keep it on the down low until this mess goes away.

Im in a similar boat as you, my parents are GC holders and sibling is USC. With that im still afraid of the chances nothing will happen which is why i started the express entry canada process. Just waiting for an invite to apply for PR.
Canada climate isnt so bad, warmer places are in and around vancouver instead of settling in toronto.

If it's just myself, I would have started the process long ago. My whole family is legal, it's just me that needs DACA. I got married last year and my wife wants to stay here since all her family members are here too. I convince myself to try the I-601A waiver route. I have people to take care of and I feel stuck. If it's just me, I will just leave after my EAD expires. I have a BA in engineering and working toward my master, currently working in the field with good work experiences.

All my family is either LPR or USC through marriage and "chain migration". I'm the youngest and spent more of my life here than they have. I have B.S. in CS and will have M.S. in CS in December, but I have little work experience so not sure I'll be able to qualify for Canada.

Wait, what is the process for DACA folks? Is there anything else besides Express Entry?

If you guys are doing Express Entry, questions for y'all:

1. Are you getting your education certified? I figure it's a necessary thing for folks from non-speaking countries, but US education should suffice, right? Or, we still need to do the Comparative Education Assessment?
2. Are there any other countries we can directly go to from the US, instead of Canada? Somewhere in South America perhaps or Europe perhaps?
3. If we end up getting Canadian citizenship, will the 10 year ban still apply for coming to the US, since we'll have a new passport and all?

I'm taking my IELTS in March. Already have my FBI fingerprint check (which shows that I have a record, but that was during a Greyhound border inspection, so I think I can explain that). Just wondering if I need to assess my high school and college education...

Canada is a great place to live. Trust me, I'am from Canada.
But I must say, the reason why I choose to stay in US is not because I don't want to go back.
We all grew up in America and have roots and families in this country. I identify myself as American and the notion of being forced out of my own home by few politicians that will be gone in couple years is why I cannot give up. No, I will not give them that satisfaction.
Ultimately everyone has right to do what they want to do, but I get discouraged when I see people just wanting to leave.
