I don't know if Dems will give in to a bill that eliminate Dv lottery, chain migration, $18+ billion for a border wall and ridiculous rules just so DACA kids get only a 3 year renewable work permit.... At least I hope they dont

I know these are hard times, but anyone advocating for the Goodlatte bill because it's probably the only option in this political climate is a complete moron.

Thousands would not qualify, and many more would get kicked out as time goes on. Not to mention the damage it would do to millions of other people such as CITIZENS trying to sponsor family members.

That shit bill is not intended for DACA relief, the only goal is to push hard right immigration ideologies under the guise of helping DACA recipients and "protecting" the country while making sure that the least amount of people possible benefit from it.

Considering we are suppose to be the "educated" crowd, being 125% over poverty line should not be a big deal.

stay away from arts and craft majors!

Finally some common sense here. All this bill does is hurt every undocumented immigrant out there that does NOT have DACA and it also allows the government to deport DACA beneficiaries slowly but surely if any of their ridiculous rules are broken.

That's only about 15k a year unless you have an extended family and you're the only bread winner. Sponsoring someone for a GC has similar income requirements.

About $20K. People working under the table make more than that.

People are crazy if they think Dems are going to give up the whole immigration house for a 3 year work permit for us. Get real.

You’re missing the bigger picture here. Let’s say you and your love one has an accident and for some reason you have to take a leave of absence. Well guess what? If during those days your out you fall below their poverty line they can easily deport you and you become a criminal.
