Sarah Sanders, the White House spokesperson, said today that the president is now prepared to accept permanent residency, a permanent solution for them. What does that mean? Does that mean citizenship?

Marc Short:

The president is willing to have a conversation about citizenship, Judy.

I think that, in addition to that, so far in the negotiations, where we have moved is that Democrats have said that the 690,000 people who have those DACA permits that are age 16 to 36, who have those DACA work permits, that has been a discussion so far. But Democrats have asked us to expand that to include others in there and including something closer to the number in the full DREAM Act.

We have said we’re willing to do that, Judy. So, we think there’s actually a lot of significant progress on our side to the things that they have asked for. In addition, it seems that Democrats have had a lot more willingness to talk about the needs we have on border security that Customs and Border Patrol has said is needed to help secure the southern border.

So we see progress. It was all the more reason we were confounded by why Democrats decided to shut down the government when there was progress going on in the negotiations.

Democrats did not want to get ride of chain migration and other policies not directly related to DACA. They care more about self-interest then us and you saw that with the government shut down. Actually thinking they could give the president 1b for the wall and be good. Trump is one of the best negotiators, even wrote a book on it and one of the principles is being willing to leave a deal, which he did. Democrats were being greedy and now they are whimpering back to the negotiating table like spoiled brats.

Exactly what I said she mentioned the last time around regarding citizenship. Yet people like Catportal accused me of lying and twisting her words. Nice to see that’s clarified.

So we went from no compromise, amnesty dead on arrival, slave-laborers for rest of life to pathway to citizenship?

I have no words.

I hope it turns more into a soccer game, like the world cup final where we losing 2-0 and tie 2-2, go 3-3 in extra time, and win by the 10th penalty cause it hits the post. That's how much of a fucking emotional token this has taken on us, LUL. Those of you who don't know what that scenario would mean in soccer, sucks to be you, you're supposed to know about soccer cause you're brown and illegal /s

He only says 'conversation'...that could mean at the end of the conversation that they decide agaisnt it or for it or only for it if they can 'make America white again'.

He must really want that wall. The only thing I see is that the Democrats might not be willing to nix the diversity lotto or to just keep everything limited to just DACA.
