I’ve had this conversation with my mom. The way she sees it, is, either we both get kicked out or one of us can continue the dream. She’ll take a bullet for her kids anytime, she tells me that she’s lived her life and now its time for us to live in peace.

If you're a dreamer and yeah I can see why it would be a fair deal

But what about USC and legal aliens who will be affected by this? People who don't care about DACa or dreamers and just wanna sponsor their folks? You think they're gonna happy about this ?

Unless this is mostly focused on just the dreamers, and not actual US Citizens.
Bigger question is why were they waiting on all this time? Why not apply sooner?

I really do not think they would take away that right from a USC. I think they just wouldn’t allow dreamers to sponsor their parents. And- please don’t shun me- I am okay with that.

Mueller is the only big unknown that can potentially fuck this up for all of us. I'm really hoping that nothing significant happens during next 5 months...

1.8 million is the number including all Dreamers - the aged out and the too young, not Daca. Daca wss always around 800K.

This has to apply to all eligible for Dream Act, Trump said he is open for it and Congress supports it.

For those parents that are already being sponsored by a US citizen, should be fine. These provisions will most likely be for those who qualify and eventually become citizen.

With or without Dream Act, US is moving towards Merit based immigration system. A system lot of first world countries have adopted. US NEEDS this to be able to compete with India and China.

Honestly, I'd rather have merit based system. High income individuals contributing to taxes vs. a set of parents who can't speak English and don't contribute to the society or economic welfare.
