This just screams mass amnesty to the right wing. Republicans want cheap labor provided by illegal alien but also want want to them out. Republicans are a real life oxymoron

That's why it's called a compromise. Nobody gets what they want.

I know my comment was towards the people blaming Dems if this doesn't pass.... Even with compromise this bill faces a tough challenge.

It's as if you can't label a diverse group as a single monolith, who woulda thunk it?

As a Dreamer, this is what I'm willing to accept:

Full border wall funding (physical wall along with high tech security)
E-Verify
Increased interior enforcement (10,000 immigration officers with a proportional amount of judges)
Faster deportation of criminals
End to sanctuary cities
Dreamers (including those aged out) legalized with ability to travel with a 10 year path to citizenship
End to diversity lottery and TPS with the agreement that GC or even similar legal status to Dreamers be given to beneficiaries of TPS.
Parents of citizens to gain some form of status that keeps them from deportation + work authorization
Family reunification aka chain migration will be left as is.

Thank you for your consideration. The Democratic party kindly rejects your offer. We need the #Dreamer immigration situation to further promote a wedge issue to garner votes and monetary support during the 2018 #BlueWave midterms.

At least it's a step up from the shitlatte bill. Democrats should negotiate taking out the chain migration bit or limiting it to Dreamers. I think this it the best we can do until 2020..
