My husbands DACA application was approved today!!! Took around 8 months in total.

Application received: 05/18/2017
Biometrics: 07/07/2017 completed
Approved: 01/22/2018
Card received: still pending

Congrats! Do you know which service center. My husbands got sent to california and they are taking the longest with everything. We sent ours in August so hoping by april we hear something, i would like to be able to file taxes to get the darn earned income credit for my kids. We have lost over $20,000 these past 3 years amd they just changed the law that people who finally get socials cannot file back taces for EIC.

Thanks, it was processed at the California Service Center. Yeah, I think I messed up my taxes for 2017, I put myself as married but he does not have his social until this tax year. So I need to talk to my tax guy cause I think I need to file as married, filing separately.

Yep, that’s the plan. To apply for DACA first, get a better paying job for him to save up and I petition for him. Luckily, he got the better paying job a week before the approval. We just went to his bank to get a loan to pay for at least 2 applications and the legal fees.
