If it were only the wall he would have agreed to Schumer's offer of fully funding the border wall during the shutdown. You do know there's a lot more than that that he's asking for right?

Even after that hateful add signed by Trump , people crawl back into trump as soon as he shows empathy towards us again . Pathetic. IF you read what he is asking in exchange for that you would understand the why democrats said no .
#DACA was giving by a democrat , #DACA was rescinded by a republican . A government shutdown was created by democrats so we can get all the attention towards us -- nationally and internationally . Thanks to that Republicans now feel a bit more cornered into doing more for the Dreamers . Trump using his statement that he double the numbers is a lie , yet people here take as if something was modified or added . The number was always the same , people just didn't apply or didn't give a #@$@ for some reason . Democrats are the one who have stood up for us this whole way , and yet you change your route asap as a #@ racist , immoral , hateful republican gives a slice of bread for an exchange that will affect the others immensely(parents, left-out dreamers). Just pathetic , you ain't not different the TRUMP supporters with your current attitude.

Republicans are also at fault for obstructing the fuck out of the issue since 2001. But, with the spineless behavior of the recent shutdown, Dems deserve this. Trump is cornering the living fuck out of Democrats.

Pretty much. He may be the dumbest fucking president, but damn he is masterfully bitching out the Democrats--really.

It will never be the the perfect bill therefore we will have to compromise. Dreamers legalization for Chain migration and Visa lottery. It is bullshit but who would've thought a president who said he would end DACA on day 1 would legalize us. Dems can fix the bullshit after 2020 if they take over the presidency, senate and house. This is the price we have to pay for not doing anything when they controlled everything.

Lemme just make it clear what Trump has proposed:

What we (or Dems) get:
a) 1.8 million dreamers (up from the 700k), this now includes dreamers who haven't signed up + wider net for those who previously ineligible.

What Trump(and Repubs) get:
a) 2.5 billion for the border wall
b) end visa diversity lotto, about 100k per year ([link]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diversity_Immigrant_Visa[/link])
c) end to family sponsorships, except spouses and minor kids (kids under the age of 18 ), so no sponsorship of parents, siblings, or adult children (18 and over)
d) tough interior enforcement (think federal agents, ICE, but super empowered)

Pay particular attention to part d). This would be nearly impossible for Democrats to swallow. Your talking about Dems giving the green light to release ICE to the neighboorhood that most reflect their voting block. From both a political perspective and a moral perspective, it would be political suicide + the complete opposite of what they have said they stood for.

I am a dreamer, and yes, I want that green card bad. I had my fair share of struggles, like, our shit is f*cking hard. People outside of my fellow dreamers don't know the daily struggle. But I can't see myself telling those people who are fighting for me to sacrifice the other people they are fighting for so that I'll be good.

I'm not saying the Dems shouldn't concede anything, I'm not part of that clean dream act crowd. But, just because it's better then the shitlatte bill, doesn't mean it's a good deal. They need something more. What is it? I don't know. Maybe get rid of part D? Just something more than what's there now.
