What Trump(and Repubs) get:
a) 2.5 billion for the border wall
b) end visa diversity lotto, about 100k per year ([link]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diversity_Immigrant_Visa[/link])
c) end to family sponsorships, except spouses and minor kids (kids under the age of 18 ), so no sponsorship of parents, siblings, or adult children (18 and over)
d) tough interior enforcement (think federal agents, ICE, but super empowered)

source: https://www.cnn.com/2018/01/25/polit...ork/index.html

Pay particular attention to part d). This would be nearly impossible for Democrats to swallow. Your talking about Dems giving the green light to release ICE to the neighboorhood that most reflect their voting block. From both a political perspective and a moral perspective, it would be political suicide + the complete opposite of what they have said they stood for.

I am a dreamer, and yes, I want that green card bad. I had my fair share of struggles, like, our shit is f*cking hard. People outside of my fellow dreamers don't know the daily struggle. But I can't see myself telling those people who are fighting for me to sacrifice the other people they are fighting for so that I'll be good.

I'm not saying the Dems shouldn't concede anything, I'm not part of that clean dream act crowd. But, just because it's better then the shitlatte bill, doesn't mean it's a good deal. They need something more. What is it? I don't know. Maybe get rid of part D? Just something more than what's there now.
That's fair, but these blue spineless bitches aren't really in a position to be rejecting the framework altogether. How hard is it to say, "We don't agree with everything, but we will work with you." But, no; they start playing divisive politics. Plus, these bitches seem to have short memory; their proposals also included concessions none of us really liked. In theory, we would all prefer a clean Dream Act. We knew from the start horrible concessions were going to be made. Every item on the GOP list of demands has a moral flaw. We won't get anywhere by rejecting all and any concessions, which Dems do.

Democrats should just step aside after the bs lame 3 day "govt shutdown" they pulled last week and let Republicans do whatever they plan to do with us. imo, at this point i believe we would've been better if Republicans had supermajorities in both chambers, at least we will get an answer by March 5th, either Legalize or Deport us but with Trump's latest position on giving amnesty, its clear that if the GOP had fillibuster proof majorities they would pass shit to end our issue. Turtle McConell should just go with the nuclear option.

I just want an answer so we can plan our lives after all this. go big or go home mayne, we need a verdict on all illegal immigrants, not just DREAMers. its time to pay the piper.

pretty sure something good will come out of this, worst case scenario we will get one more renewal pending SCOTUS, trump extends DACA, creates his own version of DACA.

.

Trump doesn't like us either, but he is using us to get what he wants. Some of us are just smart in trying to exploit that. With or without a compromise, the gov will find ways to come after our community like it already is.

We don't live in a sanctuary isolated bubble that would be popped by Trump's framework. There raids already happening.

I get it, it's frustrating, but this is what it is when you are the issue. It sucks, but damn, at least we're front and center. It's taken us nearly 10 years to get back here. I'm not sure how old you are, but I was watching in '07, when we were last being majorly talked about. They're going to haggle, they're going to go back and forth like they're a person buying a car and selling a car. They're going to draw lines, posture, crosslines, accuse each other, blame each other, and whatever else so they can get the best deal for their constituents (that includes us). So, yes, it's like they chopped our heads off and are playing a game of catch with it and hopefully, if we are lucky, they meet in the middle. But I say let them posture, as long as what they're posturing about is us.

They care, they just don't care enough to throw everyone else under the bus for us. If you were in their shoes, what would your proposal look like?

It’s tough for me because I only care about us who qualify for daca as my parents and brother and sister are citizens. It’s legalize some and keep a lot out or legalize none and we’re all fucked and illegal immigration keeps pouring in

I'm in a similar situation, everyone else in my family is legal (citizens + 1 gc holder). But, think about what you just said, "I only care about us who qualify." Stability is not a prerequisite for empathy. Our situation is hard, but that doesn't mean we should just look out for ourselves, especially when others are trying to look out for us. Also, you're creating a type of fallacy known as a false dilemma, meaning, you're making it seem like those are the only two outcomes, when in fact they are not. There are middle grounds in there, and the only way we can get a solution is if we land somewhere in between.

Makes sense. A large portion of Dreamers have indigenous blood and some can be considered legitimate Native Americans.
