Can the parents get visas though? I feel like the whole point of not being able to sponsor parents would be to cut down on possible democrat voters in the future via our parents, but if they're on visas, they're not citizens and can't vote anyway. I don't need my parents to be citizens or able to vote, they don't care either way. I just want them to be able to live with me and travel freely.

Same here man, I wouldn’t have to sponsor anybody. But making us citizens and restricting certain rights from the start is making us second-class citizens.

Seek a hardship waiver through the parents then. Got an I-130 with some near-by priority date or an employer willing to sponsor you?

I like how they'll be processing the backlog of already submitted family sponsorship green cards. That means a large portion of my family will be covered since our date is nearing. I'm golden lol
So for those with pending applications in the backlog. will their adjustment of status application be valid if i -130 gets approved?

A lot of other internet forums discourage reviving old threads and I think DAP should do the same. I freaked out when I saw this thread as the latest post because I thought some new update had truly happened.
