i hope those two are not campaigning somewhere in the country. if so, how irresponsible for them to miss out on crucial votes on the DOD bill, not to mention the pending dream vote. if the are missing, it is best dream not be brought to a vote today, as the vote itself will be razor thin, probably 1 or 2 votes here or there. but i am sure durbin knows all this, and will bring the dream for a vote accordingly.

i wonder why senators are allowed to be absent during votes in bills... aren't they elected and paid to vote on these things? why elect them at all if they're not going to be voting...
