so they have to make a choice, do they want to take care of the legal/illegal immigrants already here or concern themselves with future immigrants.
My parents are 3 yrs shy of being able to apply under my brother, this is heart breaking but theyre happy I would be able to be legal. Theyre not going anywhere tho, they will tough it out like the past 20 yrs.

and please don't turn this into a partisan Democratic/Republican debate, im tired of that BS.
The question is this: why would legal immigrants give up their rights to family reunification over us? That proposal slashes legal immigration by 50%. Thats a major overhaul

I just don’t think is realistic, unless they leave it for CIR in phase 2..

"Status is subject to revocation for criminal conduct or public safety and national security concerns, public charge, fraud, etc."

This is what I'm concerned about most of all. That they might give us a GC with a string attached to it, that they can yank back and take it away from us any moment we throw a gum wrapper on the floor and get a misdemeanor.

Dems need to make it clear that chain migration needs to be dealt in a phase 2. Instead they are just rejecting the whole plan.

most likely... im guessing,

Phase 1 = DACA 1.8mil + Border Sec | Pillars 1 and 2
Phase 2 = Amnesty to all + cuts to legal immigration + DV end | Pillars 3 and 4 + "amnesty"

nuclear is your immediate family. if you want to petition family members, it only applies to your immediate family.

you cant be sponsoring your cousins cousin, aunt, or your cousins nephew twice removed.
