What about legal and USC citizens? You're okay with removing their rights so you can get yours ?

Not only are you throwing your parents in front the bus to slow it down for you to get on but you're now removing the rights of people who support us. You think a voting citizen is going to happily give their right to sponsor their spouse parents so some dreamers can get legal?

You're too full of yourself if you think the rest of the USA is going to
Happily give up their rights

You're just upset nobody in Congress is pushing for legalization of ALL undocumented people and are instead focused on legalizing Dreamers only. You're a disgrace. I hope that stupid DV Lottery is abolished immediately...after I win it for the 2018 drawing.

I am not upset at all - but millions of voting Americans are going to think twice about supporting us once they find out they will be losing a right. You know what's ironic here? Most people don't care about certain rights once they know you're about to lose them.

And wow that's a lot of "you are"s. You can't make a post with out speaking for someone else ?

You are completely missing the point! Yes, it will suck that WE will not be able to sponsor our parents, but can you not see that this bill will take away the rights of EVERY American citizen, including those born here and every generation thereafter!!

This bill will FOREVER force any future American citizen that marries any foreign citizen to chose between their and their spouses family. It’s ridiculous and a non-starter in my opinion. Here is a couple of scenarios to really think about.

1. American citizen falls in love with foreigner, asks him/her to move to US. Years pass and spouse’s parents are old or ill or spouse just want to live close to them. Being that the spouses parents can’t be sponsored to come by their son/daughter, who leaves who? Does the family move abroad? Or is the now naturalized spouse forced to live away from his/her parents?

2. Middle age American citizen falls in love with foreigner, asks him/her to move to US. However, fiancée has teenage kids, 11, 14, and 17. US citizen marries the foreigner but by that time the oldest kid turns 18. What happens then? Does the US citizen move abroad with spouse? Or is the foreign spouse force to leave one kid behind?

3. One generation later. Our US born kids (or any US born kid) are going to college and we love our kids. During their studies, they fall in love with a foreign F1 student and they asks him/her to marry and stay in the US. But our kids spouse wants to be close to his/her. Being that the spouses parents can’t be sponsored to come by their son/daughter, who leaves who? Our kids will have to chose between being close to us or forcing their spouse to leave their parents...

My question is, if the whole US population truly understood what they would be giving up just so that could help 1.8 dreamers, would they do it? I think not..

Yeah they will stop it just like they stopped the tax bill from passing. Lel
