Repeal of daca is trumps fault yes. But democrats arent willing to compromise. Their main sticking points are useless.
1. Paying for the wall isnt an issue, they waste billions on military and middle east.
2. Ending dv lottery isnt a problem, they wanted to do it long time ago and reallocate the visas to h1b. Ending chain migration isnt an issue, at this stage in time ppl dont even get approved via chain migration for decades! Besides previous petitions will continue to process. So what are democrats even fighting for in this issue?!

Democrat's problem is passing immigration with trumps name on it especially if he gives citizenship bcuz it will make them look like fools. So democrats rather just kick the can down until the end of time. Im not defending trump or repbulicans either, theyre crazy and mindless too. But democrats can compromise and get trumps four pillars passed by focusing on policy.
At some point theyre gonna have to compromise. Democrats are in no position to demand a clean dreamer solution. So they clearly know that they must give in to trumps four points that he wants on immigration. Until both dems and repubs comes ti a compromise, nothing will happen -___-

Considering the midterms are just a few months away, I can honestly see this happening.

how would that even work if they aren't codifying anything? Just wave their hands and say DACA is extended until next year???

It might be not a bad idea. At least we can renew for 2 more years. I don't see them agreeing on anything soon.
