I have never left the country, but I put in my passport anyway both when it was expired and after I renewed it. Never had a problem with my renewals.

I think morally you should have paid back your creditors.

This should be a lesson for all of us! Please be careful of how to manager your finances. We don't need to give people another chance to blame us. Remember, they are tracking our statistics.

That was 6 years ago. I probably did. I submitted everything they asked for and more lol. School ids, transcripts, quarterly grades, you name it. For renewals, the only thing I attach is a copy of my EAD and 2 passport pics.

I got an update saying they've scheduled my biometrics but can't see it in MyAccount yet.. so I'll wait for the physical.

Also, they accepted my case without the passport photos. No biggie.

Has anyone found a solution to the ERROR 500?

I'm still paying off the bill from the collision center which repaired my car. My biggest debt was with American Express, so I'll have to pay back the debt when I decide to reapply for another card after the bankruptcy comes off my record. I have no problem paying back later, I just want to pursue my education first because I want to graduate ASAP. If I decided to pay off all my debt while going to school, I doubt that I would progess very much.

Anywho, I hate that I put myself into this situation. I do not regret it either because I learned my lesson, and I'm way more careful about my spending.

Yeah, it was weird. I got a text saying my case was received and a few minutes later I got another text saying bios were scheduled. Took about a week to receive the letter in the mail though.

Did biometrics today. Was scheduled for 11AM in LA County in SoCal. It was somewhat busy. Lots of confused people. Some woman behind me in line even flat out asked me what my application was for. She said "are you applying for green card"? I wasn't going to tell her any of my details and I just said "It's for something different."

The security/check-in officer went off on a guy who didn't know how to fill out the sign-in application due to a language barrier. Also, there was a sketchy looking immigration legal services office (3rd party) right next door. Talk about being opportunistic!

I was there no more than 15 minutes. The waiting area had a nice photo of Trump. They confirmed my name, took my picture, scanned the prints on my right had, and waited for the system to match them. The woman stamped and signed my letter and I was done.

Online, my case status has changed to:
