In the letter for biometrics scheduled appointment, it has a section to mark to request a reschedule for the biometrics appointment, and mail the letter to the provided address.

I am wondering if there is a phone number to call to expedite a rescheduling of biometrics appointment?

Has anyone ever rescheduled a biometrics appointment before?

I understand I can do a walk-in but in case that does not work, I want to about rescheduling.

I doubt they let you reschedule to an earlier date; it's intended to let you choose another (later) date if you can't make it to the one.

I think your choices are pretty much walk-in or wait for your date.

Just do walk-in.

If the office does not accept, then go to a different office.

That's what I did and the second office allowed me to do it.

Make sure to go very early and be the first in line, that really helps.

I went to the Oakland's office 30 minutes before they open and they let me do it.

Not to reschedule for an earlier date. I meant to schedule to a later date. My question is if the only option is by sending the letter in the mail or is there a number I can call?

Best thing would be to call USCIS and ask them typically how long it takes if you reschedule. This way you can make sure you app doesn't get delayed too much.

I was wondering the same thing but didn't find an answer anywhere. I went ahead and sent my request to reschedule this weekend and it was delivered today. Hoping to hear something soon!

Why don't you guys walk-in between now and the originally scheduled date?

Are you guys busy every single day between now and that scheduled date?

If you have a legitimate excuse you can simply go to your local USCIS and have it rescheduled sooner. I have done that before and had bio-metrics the same day.

My work schedule is from 8am to 5pm. The application support center is open from 8am to 4pm. I recently stated a new government job and cannot call off anytime soon. That's why I am on a bind with the biometrics appointment.

Let your employer know you need the day off or half the day with time they’ll understand. If you delay the application the permit will expire and if the permit expires you lose the government job.
