Don't worry about that. For all we know it may get attached to a bill that passed the House already.

I dont know what the next plan is (But i have some ideas already, first is that we gonna call Reid alot and tell him to keep his word he made tonight), give me a couple of days.. I need a break from everything and anything that has to do with Dream
Dreamact 1982,
I had been calling everyday for about a week, this sucks though, but I trust that durbin made the best rational choice, if he did'nt put it up for a vote it was for a reason, we must hold reid to his word that he will bring dream up for a vote, in addition, I will do some research, and see which senators gave there excuse of not supporting dream for the sole reason of being attached to a defense bill, NOW, these senators have to support dream when it comes up in November, they must pull that same excuse, we can call them next time and pressure them saying something like "You came out and said, you did not support dream because the legislation was not related to the defense, however, now it is a stand alone, you must support now." These are just ideas I have brainstormed in the last five minutes but, overall, we must still keep pressuring , remember guys,
"HE WHO GETS THE LAST LAUGH, GETS THE BETTER LAUGH"

Saint seiya, No they will not be attaching DREAM to the DoD bill anymore. There are too many amendments left and very little time to get it finished. We are all disappointed and dreading our phone bills but we have to continue the fight now. Alilosers and the anti-Dream losers became active in the last few days when there was a good chance that DREAM would be attached. Now, they will claim victory and retreat into their holes. We may not beat then in numbers but we can definitely beat them in frequency. Keep calling the Senators, especially Senator Reid and Durbin and hold them to their promise. Also, I expect that we will be developing a plan to gain support from our House of Representatives. One good thing is that the House doesn't need 3/5ths majority. A simple majority will do fine.

When CIR was discussed in the Senate, Speaker Pelosi told Bush that he needed to win support from 70 Republican members to counter any opposition from conservative Democrats. The DREAM Act has broad support. I'm sure we can win 70 Republicans, especially with Durbin's revised version.

Well on a positive note I do think this scenario is much better then dream coming up for a vote a failing by one or two votes which was a likely possibility.
The problem now is we have to start from scratch, and keep the pressure up. I mean the kkk brigade will respond in the same way they did here, we just have to be better prepared for it.
