This takes care of the issue that Flake mentioned before about him opposing cuts legal immigration. The problem with the Trump bill is that it cuts legal immigration (under the guise of wanting to bring in more talented immigrants instead) except it doesn't lay out a program for increasing immigration for higher skilled workers. What flakes bill addressing is 1) it cuts legal immigration (removes petitioning for adult children, parents, siblings) but actually reallocates those visas to (high skilled works & the current backlog). It's probably the best middle ground anyone has come up with. For repubs ("cuts to legal immigration") for dems ("not actually" cutting immigration)

You're missing the fact that, when it comes to sponsoring parents, there are no visas to reallocate.

Wait if I don't have a college degree I won't qualify? Even if I have a HS diploma?

Well it doesn’t say anything about having a college degree, all it says is “admited to higher education” . This will help the rest of us that have full time jobs and have to take of our families and don’t have time to start college again.

No. My parents have green cards and I have no siblings. I'm literally the only person in the family who doesn't have a status.

What I do have is a basic common sense and decency - and I can see ahead far enough to see what Miller & Cotton will do as their next step.

1. None of our parents have anything to do with this. They want to cut ALL immigration, period.

2. Border Wall + border security for Dream is a reasonable compromise. Everything GOP wants in a "immigration reform" for Dream is just fucking nuts... but here you guys are. Worshipping Trump, writing MAGA, and demanding the Dems to "stop playing politics" and aceept this shitpile of a deal.

Fuck. That. I'll get deported first before I turn into a semi-legal Michelle Malkins.

Are you suggesting they will come after our parents? That would be so f up. At this point though you would have a bunch of now "legal" residents being ripped apart from their families. I think that would look worse than ripping "illegals" from their "illegal" relatives.
