Feels pretty bad right now.

Uncertain future is all we have.

Reality is we might have to change jobs and move in few years. And start all over again. Our lives would be uprooted. It is hard to live knowing that.

I am afraid there could be even lower point than this. The day we start losing daca.

Mar 5h deadline was artificial. We are renewing. Now everything is scrambled. How will they set the next deadline?

Racists are advancing. We are falling back. But we havent got completely destroyed yet.

It's ridiculous how there won't be any more voting this week and next week due to presidents day and they'll be in recess. That only give about a week for the March deadline. I'd say they vote next week as the deadline is soon approaching.

We will see what happens but the future looks bleak.

I felt like shit yesterday but woke up this morning with newly found optimism.
We didn't get what we wanted this time, but remember Trump and GOP didn't get anything either.
If anything, they now know how far Dems are willing to fall back so I can only guess things will progress onward from this point on.
Still, I wouldn't hold your breath over this. Just focus on your day to day life and relax. No one is getting deported.

2018 and 2020 will be clear indications where we stand. If it's a Blue wave we are good, if it's a Racist Wave we are fucked and need to gtfo.

Not yet. Our lowest point will be if SCOTUS decides to hear the case and rule against DACA. But even lower will be when ICE starts going after DACAers.

But relax. Don't panic yet. I sense everything will be OK.

We have been in this situation before, our families have been in this situation before, others have been in this situation before.

We will deal with this the same way we have dealt with all other obstacles, with resilience and not giving up.

But we cannot get ahead of ourselves, worrying for what has not happened yet. Remember, it is a lot of us, many of us stand to lose our jobs yes, but our employers will also lose, and they may lose a lot more, here is hoping that clear minds will prevail and something will happen to ensure our ability to stay.

Whatever happened to Canada? We we’re kind of hoping you’d have a place for us to crash

In all seriousness though I think we will be fine, I know at one point when there was so much uncertainty with DACA I was in a state of depression as well, but I decided to let go of that a long time ago.

I realized that whatever happens, happens. All I know is that with the support of my family, my true friends and including the people in this forum we will get through this together. Don’t let this get to you bro, this fight isn’t over and there is still hope.

You cant really say that we have been in this situation before. Going from getting paid minimum wage under the table to a well paid job is not the same as going from getting paid a good ass salary back to minimum wage. We have built life styles that has taken us years to get, and it is difficult to imagine how life will be should we lose our ability to work .

I dont think I would be able to go back to that.
