Having a strong support system truly makes it easier to go through these tough times. I honestly look forward to meeting you guys, The fact that we are all going through the same struggle creates a bond between us. We will be okay no matter what. Keep your heads up fam!

We will be fine Got_Daca, I was a bit optimistic when you said that the Grassley bill will pass but as we all know, Congress is dysfunctional, we've lived through the pre-DACA era and I am sure we'll survive the DACA era.

Hang in there buddy. This shall all pass.

I dont think I would be able to go back to that.
Point taken, we are speaking to the choir here however.

How can we transmit this information to people that can vote for elected officials and the elected officials that can be influenced by the people that gave them a job?

DACA passed because we where doing civil disobedience actions in Obama for America offices nationwide, and Obama wanted the latino vote. The Latino vote is what could place him in office.

Now we need to think of the elected officials that are on the fence in their vote and the people that vote, and how can we show them that voting no will be counter-productive to their employment.

This will not just affect us, but also the people that employ us, they will need to spend more resources and money looking and training new people, and be exposed to more risk.

It is not that pre daca life was hard, it is our uncertainty that is troubling. The notion that our fates are not in our hands. But in the hands of other some of whom hate us. We cant let anyone control our lives. But to work with and compete with others who dont have our problem is alienating.

We all had the vision of our lives safe without immigration trouble risk. Where we can finally take a deep breath and relax, maybe even indulged about having US passport. When all of this is taken away, it stings.
