Can my application be returned if it arrives after that date? Just wondering thanks in advance.
I think what you're asking is, if it will be considered as a NEW application and potentially denied. The answer is No. They'll process it as a renewal, since you've had DACA before.

Also, why did you wait so long!?

Has anyone done a walk-in in Detroit?
Detroit field office turned me away today for a walk in for biometrics.
It is unfortunate as there were very few people in the application service center waiting area.
My biometrics appointment is for 3/8 (day before EAD expires).

Does anyone know if applications continue to be processed concurrently with biometrics or if the process is halted until biometrics are completed? I.E. Does completing the biometrics earlier get you your EAD earlier?

We don't know for sure. Some people believe they'll get approved faster, but there isn't any concrete evidence.

I waited for my appointment.

Is it true that if DACA gets cancelled during our process we'll lose the money? I was always under the impression that they would have to return it if we didn’t get anything..

If DACA gets cancelled while you're waiting for an answer, they'll most likely continue to process your request. If not, they will very likely return your payment.

We don't know for sure, but there is little to lose and much to win. Two more years!

Same! If you’re in the Los Angeles area, the ASC on La Brea is super easy and quick. The place is empty and the staff is really nice.

Completed my biometrics. I was done within 10 minutes. They just scanned my right hand 4 fingers and the lady said since my fingerprints were in their system no need to scan any further. Received an e-mail after my biometrics that my case information was updated. Checked my I-765 status and it states
"As of February 21, 2018, we are actively reviewing your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number IOEXXX. Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Just waiting now.

I have done my biometric about 2 weeks ago but didn’t get such update on my case status. My case status is still showing “biometric appointment was scheduled”. My wife also has done it around the same time and got the update on her status like above. Should I be worried about mine not being updated? I called USCIS, but they cannot even look up if I’ve done the biometric.
