I got approved today! - Page 7

Congratulations!!! I, myself, got a notice that my card was being produced but my form I-821D still says that it is being reviewed. I'm confused with this.

Also got my card yesterday. I mean personally I think it looks gaudy and sums up this administration pretty well - whole thing's covered in different holograms to prevent fraud and the color scheme is a lot to look at.

Not complaining, though. Means I can at least work after I graduate college.

so if u expire 150 days out, they will just sit on your app? i hope this is the case then.

I submitted mine pretty early on and haven't seen forward action.

i guess us ppl expiring sept/oct/nov will be approved in the summer..

Let's hope so! At this point I don't mind losing a few months, if I can get 2 more years.

Dang it. I was planning on buying a car hoping I would get my card this month. Now I have to wait until summer?

Well, I finally got approved today, after a six month waiting period and a month of expired EAD.

Congrats. You made it a month without protection. It must have been stressful going anywhere.

Were you working? How did you manage to get by?

Thank you! Yes, it really sucked waiting that long. And well I'm one of those lucky ones whose license (commercial license) does not expires with the EAD, so that at least eased the driving around. Yes I was working, so the company put me on leave of absence for two months. That being said, if I don't get a job offer for a job I'm pending background check on, then I will just go back to my previous job.
