Hello, the current Form I-765 on the USCIS website has an expiry date of 02/28/2018.

Is it safe to send this form through given this?

It's fine, and I quote from the website:

Quote:
07/17/17. A new edition of this form is coming soon. In the meantime, you may file using the 07/17/17 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.
See https://www.uscis.gov/i-765 under edition date. This was true as of 3/13/18 when they last updated this page.

I sent mine on March 13 2018 on that application and I just got it back in the mail today March 23, 2018. The reason why is that form i-765 is expired. I checked for an updated form and there isn't one.

Looks like the latest version expires on 2/28/2018 which is probably the one he submitted.
When will they roll out a new version?

I will start beating people that keep paying attention to the OMB expiration date. It's been 5 years and 9 months since DACA was announced and people don't fucking understand that the OMB expiration does not affect the validity of the form. That all has to do with Paperwork Reduction Act and basically means that the government approved the form for release. Most recent version remains current until replaced.

This may be true for the 821D form but USCIS is DEFINITELY returning applications for expired i-765 forms, there are enough threads here stating this fact.

At what stage in the process are the forms being returned? After the check is cashed and BioMetrics appointment sent?

Mine got returned as well, do anyone know how to move forward? The I-821 D is up to date is just the i-765 that got returned, tried calling them and didn't get much help.
