No that is the worst idea I have ever heard. Easy for you to say cuz you live in England. How about the ones in Mexico, South America, or the communist Asian countries? For you, sure let's all pack up and go back to sweet England.

There. Happy?
I guess asking people about a backup plan if things don't work out was a little too real for some.

Thank you so much.

This thread can probably serve as a wake-up call to some people. No one can surely say anything will happen this year, next year, or even in two years. Maybe not everyone will be able to benefit from a "backup plan" but if a member wants to talk about something like this, they can do so. Don't reply if you don't like what they are saying.

Triple ? was just trying to see what other people's options were in case of something not going the way we want it to.

Triple ? is making a valid point about looking at his or her realistic options. We may not agree with what is being said, but that doesn't mean we can't atleast listen or argue the points.

Personally, I think it's completely up to you Triple, on what you do. Just know the consequences on doing so, means most likely, you will not be able to return to U.S. because of the 10 year ban. (maybe it's different with the EU, but I think {unsourced, do not take for fact} for most visa overstayers, their chances of ever getting approved for re-entry after overstaying an original visa is slim to none, but i could definitely be wrong about that)

One thing I can agree on with you Triple, is the cliched idiomatic phrase "Don't put all your eggs in one basket." If you depend on faith too much, you will find yourself in a tough spot. Be realistic people. I'm not saying give up. In fact I'm saying work much harder, but don't bet your life on something you can't control.
Thanks man. That's exactly what I meant. I don't mean to tell people to give up on DREAM, I've been with this for a while now way back on Cosa making flyer campaigns long before this. The last thing I want to do is to hurt the cause.

That's why I deleted it, but for anyone wondering what I posted I was just asking about what your options are if DREAM doesn't pass, be it Canada or whatever partially because I'm fed up with all how ineffective everything has been for so long. I probobly came off as too pessimistic though. I just think some of us need to expand whatever options we have in case things don't work out like we think they will.

Well Canada wouldnt be an option for me since they look into your immigration past and stuff... if they find out we were here ilegally that would count against us!

we're learning about the zapatistas in my raza critical thinking class! (im asian but i like the raza stuff). so interesting! if i was an indigeneous south american person, i'd go and join the zapatistas right now and forget all about immigration in america. the fight against globalization seems like a worthwhile one, even though they may never prevail.
