Hello fellow dreamers,

I plan to travel with my dad (undocumented) in June.
The path is LA -> Las Vegas -> Zion Canyon -> Bryce Canyon -> Las Vegas -> LA.
I am concerned especially about any checkpoint that may exist between Las Vegas and Bryce Canyon, which uses I-15.
Does anyone know if any checkpoint exists on the path I described?

Thank you.

I would be very careful traveling with your dad who’s undocumented, if you indeed get stopped, you might get charge with human smuggling, it’s happened before and with this administration you have to be very very careful.

There is only a checkpoint on the 15 south by Temecula. No other checkpoints in Utah. I’ve done this drive before. There are also no checkpoints on I-10 between CA and AZ

I-10 between CA and AZ are not guaranteed to be clear, though. I had couple scare,s and I think I would've been screwed if I wasn't Asian and everyone else in the car wasn't white.

Are you talking about the agriculture checkpoint near Blythe?
They usually just wave vehicles through.

Nah, those guys are cool. But there is a border patrol checkpoint just before Blythe (Ehrenberg, AZ). It's not manned most of the time - but if your luck's real shitty...

Actually, now that I think about it, it's the same location. Most of the time it's fruits and veggies guys, but occasionally BP is there being dicks.

That freeway 15 checkpoint by Barstow is only an agricultural checkpoint. Travel away. Just drive safely. Don't speed.

I have done this drive three times (LA to Zion/Bryce), most recent on September of last year, and there were no checkpoints at all. The last drive was actually till Arches and my brother-in-law (undocumented) went with us. He just did not help me with the drive for the little portion of the I-15 that goes through Arizona. He helped me with the drive within Utah. In February, I drove from LA to Four Corners, then to Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM and there were no checkpoints in Arizona. If you enjoy road trips like I do, go ahead without any fears, just drive safely.

This is correct. I drive by this place twice a month. CBP vehicles are there 50% of the time. Some just wait in the vehicle and others hang around the cabin or stand around with the inspectors.
Pre-DACA, my family would ask a legal relative to drive ahead of us to let us know. I remember a time he said it was clear so we proceeded. This time, they were not waving vehicles through without asking the usual questions. We were the 3rd vehicle in line when two CBP vehicles pulled up...we made it through as the officers walked into the cabin.
