Hello everyone,

Last night I lost my California Drivers License at a bar, and I have a flight to catch to new york next week. Stupid me I know.

I know that if I go to the airport without an ID tsa would try to identify me in other ways. I have my school ID but that's pretty much it.

I am undocumented without daca. Do you think that it should be fine for me to go anyways and have them verify me in other ways or is it not worth the risk? If anyone has experience that would be amazing. Thanks!

It'll be hard since you don't have a proper ID. Do you have a passport?? You can use that.

If you’re undocumented and not on DACA, doesn’t you DL say that federal limits apply? Aren’t you already unable to use it?

Use your passport. I’ve used it before.

Sound a little risky to me to go with student ID if you don't have DACA. What will happen if they starting asking questions? Do you have a passport?

No DACA and no ID sounds way too risky to even try IMO. As a side note, in the 80's and 90's we used to fly all the time and never have to show ID...truly a great time to be alive.

I thought TSA does secondary screenings (pat downs, etc) for people who have lost their IDs and allow them on?

If you are undocumented, but have a passport from your birth country, you can travel within the country. My parents do it all the time, and they have even gone to Hawaii, but there is certain risk that comes with it. I read somewhere online that it is up to the officer who checks your ID whether s/he decides to flip through your passport to look for a valid visa.
