Getting Married Through the Courthouse? - Page 2

Another congrats!! Also married at the courthouse first and sent in the application a month later. We did have a ceremony about 6 months after the courthouse one. USCIS officer didn't care to mention seeing the album, but my wife whipped it out lol so he looked through it.

Nope, my husband and I got married and 2 weeks later I filed my paperwork.

We set our date for our big wedding 8 months out and used the booking for the venue and deposits for the caterer as part of evidence to our case.

Our officer talked to us for probably less than 5 minutes, shook our hands and told us we had an easy case and "congratulations"

So it is happening this Friday. The fiancee and I will be getting married...


Don't feel nervous or anything....just yet.

Thanks guys. Obviously its a big step in our lives, but im going to do what is necessary to keep the fire lit and not have it turn into a mundane routine experience that ruins most relationships.

Congrats my guy. The routine thing is inevitable bro. Especially when y’all have kids but I wish you all the best luck.

Word of advice. Do as many things as possible now that y’all don’t have kids. Go out and enjoy yourselves every chance you get. I’m not saying kids are a bad thing. I love my daughter with all my heart. But kids take a lot of time and patience.

Sex everyday will be necessary!
