Who gets to decide what is moral or not?? This is very vague and could literally mean that if you commit adultery that leads to divorce, that could be viewed as lacking moral character......

Aside from the conditional Visa for wall funds, I think it’s reasonable given the current state of the country.
Every single bill includes that. Even the dream act.

You are right. This bill will fail. It won't get through the Senate. Welcome to 2019 April.

THIS BILL WILL NOT GET THROUGH THE SENATE. Republican has only 51 seats and I am betting this bill will only get 40 votes. McCain is out on this, for sure.

Excatly but most people seem to be falling for the same trap that's been happening for years now.

you really don't think at least 9 moderate Democrats would not vote on this? And Ryan would do his best to push for this. Any Republican who wants to save face come election day should vote for this.

Doesnt have to pass Senate now... THey can just attach it to the budget deal in Sept... before Gov Shutdown... IMAGINE if Democrats would shut the gov down before elections because of DACA fix for which they have been fighting all year? LOL

Hard to tell, but based on the records, https://www.vox.com/policy-and-polit...l-floor-debate

Quote:
For the fourth and final vote the White House got a vote on its demands, which have been mirrored in legislation from Grassley. The Grassley bill would:

Provide a path to citizenship for 1.8 million undocumented immigrants who came to the country as children
Offer $25 billion to fund a southern border wall
Substantially curtail family immigration and eliminate the diversity visa lottery program in such a way that would gut the legal immigration system
It failed, 39 to 60. Democrats opposed the bill en masse, joined by a notable number of Republicans, while most of the GOP conference supported it.

Senate has to revise with House. Unless Trump is serious about this, you are really looking at after election is over (Jan 2019). With the current Senate agenda, we are low on chance.
