Yeah, my recruiter said reservists got the better end of the deal here because they can get naturalized and since they spent so long in DEP they only have a couple of years left in their contract

That may be true, but I want to fully commit to army hence I went active duty. Time we spent in DEP counts towards IRR for active duty too rigjt?

Yes it does.
Unfortunately, we can't get citizenship until 180 days of active duty served unless the mavni class action suit changes that. Haven't heard any news about it tho

Any idea when that 180 day start? After basic?

Hello from AIT at Eustis! Less than 7 weeks and a wake-up left!!

It's still surreal that life at Jackson has come and gone..

I can't wait to get home and get that N-400 straightened out. My packet is already at Santa Ana, CA field office, and I e-mailed them to send my packet to Norfolk (about an hour away from here..), but I don't know if my Platoon Sergeants will let me go if they get it set-up here..

We'll see.. pray for me guys~
