Hmm let me guess you took DACA and didn’t blink an eye? Why wouldn’t we take this and blink an eye? I see hypocrypts everywhere on this forum.

We are in no shape to demand something from either Dems or Republicans... whatever they gives we take and that’s it.

Because when this is signed by Trump, in the ideal case, I will take the application form. You would too if you are told you can file the application today and only today. Would you not? I BET YOU WOULD everyone person for himself. Why would anyone throw TPS people under the bus? Why would anyone throw legal immigrants under the bus by canceling chain migration? Nah, we are just selfish. We were okay to cover only 1M dreamers before, throwing another 1M of them under the bus.

But this is a good bill because it is actually moderate enough, perhaps not the actual coverage number.

House defeats revamped immigration bill. It fails 301-121. It had a path to citizenship for DACA & $25 billion for the wall. Hse GOPers even got 193 yeas last wk for conservative immigration bill. Trump pushed this

If moderates are smart , they’ll go back to the discharge petition.

I qualify but this bill is nothing but moderate! I’m glad it failed 🤪.

What did I say earlier? Can’t blame the Dems for this one.

People constantly asking for the discharge petition make me laugh. Is it hard to understand that the Senate will never take up anything from a discharge petition?

They wouldn’t pass any republican only bill either.
