Yes. I applied for AOS in April 2016, had my interview in August of same year and was approved same day. I think they've slowed down since and it's not as quick.

I'm kind of in a similar situation. AOS application accepted 3/5/18. Daca expired beginning of this month. I was hoping that my EAD for AOS would have been approved fast, but everything is processing a lot slower than it use to. Now I'm just here waiting forever and a day.

That is a dumb move my friend. I sent my aos application back on January, my daca was set to expire in November, but just in case my aos took longer than expected, I sent my daca application at end of May and already did my fingerprints. Also, I already received my EAD for my AOS.. It took 6 months to receive my EAD for AOS, I don't have my interview scheduled yet

Hey let’s try to keep it positive since there’s enough bad energy coming from the White House and the Hill. We can’t change what didn’t happen in the past, so pointing out how dumb something was is pointless and petty. We’re all in the same boat... pat on the back for you for renewing your DACA, but unless you have a prior deportation order or you decide to get arrested for something, you’re under the radar, and considered extremely low priority. Words from my lawyer. Let’s just all hope things process fast, and we all fly through the interview with an approved GC in the end.

Read that thread buddy. Again, can’t undo something in the past. If you didn’t apply for DACA renewal before October 5, 2017, you can no longer apply/renew.

I was not trying to criticize you. On the contrary, I found the link to contain valuable information related to this thread

I also share the same sentiment with others but I understand that you are doing your best to move forward. I renewed my DACA in 2014, applied for AOS in 2015 and had both running concurrently. I received my Green Card before my DACA ran out. The lawyer gave very bad advice.

I would advise others looking into this process to renew their DACA, apply for AOS. The only time I would advise people to let their DACA expire is when they have their work permit from the AOS process then I would say it is ok to let DACA expire since you can indefinitely renew the AOS work permit at no cost to you until they make a decision on your case.
