Hi so like everyone else I have a question about the new I-765 form.

"A copy of at least one of the following documents: Form I-94, Arrival-Departure Record (front and back), a printout of your electronic Form I-94 from www.cbp.gov/i94, passport, or other travel document. If you are filing Form I-765 under the (c)(9) category, copies of any of the above are not required."

Both my sister and I do not have a Form I-94 nor a passport. Is this going to be an issue? What else is considered "travel" documents? I'm so confused because after it ask for those documents on the bottom it says:

"NOTE: If you are filing under the (c)(33) category, you are not required to submit additional documentation beyond what you submit with Form I-821D under 2. What documents do you need to provide to prove identity in the Evidence for Initial Requests Only section of the Form I-821D Instructions."

So what do I do? Leave 21a though 21e blank? I am freaking out!!

For God's sake read the instructions. If you are RENEWING you don't have to send them a copy of your passport.

Geesh. No need to be snarky about it. What's wrong with asking? This is the most stressful thing we go through ever two years, I don't want to make a mistake and have wasted almost $500 only to find out the error could have been avoided...

If my passport is expired, should I still give them the Passport # and date of expiration?

You can still use the I-765 07/17/17 edition until 09/17/2018.. that's what i did and they still accepted my app.. with the 07/17/17 edition it doesn't ask you about the passport questions.

PM ME if anyone need the I-765 07/17/17 edition.
