This topic seems to be sparsely discussed. I figure I will share my knowledge throughout my ordeals. So, I've been looking to get a mortgage loan about 2 years now with DACA status. Here are some of the banks that reject and approve with my DACA situation.

Chase: Flat out no
Well Fargo: Maybe, I didn't go all the way but I would say no.
BofA: No, they will say yes at first but at the end ultimately no.
Capital One: Flat out no
TD Bank: Flat out o
Quicken Loans: I'd said yes because they seem to know what I am talking about when I told them my status is just a EAD category 33. I would think carefully because their rate was higher than the national rate for people like us (I suspect they process us as an oversea buyer). I would probably go with them if every other big bank fails.
Citi: Yes, and it is the only big bank that got approved. I did not have to reveal my DACA status. I just tell them I have a EAD and SSN only. I was then asked to send them a copy of my EAD. They are also willing to match my failed BofA rate. I am very satisfied with the loan officer I worked with. If anyone needs a contact let me know. He is based in NY and completely remote and digital.

Local regional smaller banks is a hit or miss. I have had success with Quontic Bank (local bank in NYC) and got approved for a loan but the officer wasn't honest and was trying to take advantage of me by imposing higher rate and miscellaneous fees. Luckily my apartment application did not approve so I did not owe them any fee.

Don’t go to individual banks to search for a loan. See a mortgage broker...they will find a plan and work it out for you

some if not most NYC co-op rule require anyone on the loan to be primary resident.
