I became a US Citizen back in March of this year, and petitioned my parents, in June when we had the money. My dad's is a little more complicated, so it will take time. But my mom is an overstay, and went super fast too. We got receipts saying they got everything, like a week after the packet went out. Then got a notice for my mom to do her biometrics 1 month after they received the application, and then just last month, towards the end of Oct, can't remember the exact date, she got her green card in the mail. So basically, from June when we sent the applications out, well the lawyer, to October, when she got her green card in the mail is how fast my moms process took.
Thank you, that’s what I was looking for. My mom is an overstay too but that shouldn’t be an issue since she has never broken the law, has no warrants and came in legally. The only issue is my brother, he is 21 and is unemployed because he’s just lazy as hell.

LOL sorry I was worried for your mom. I thought she got scammed. Ok well when you type in her case number on uscis website what does it say?

That might be a problem. Your brother has to show proof that he can support himself and your mom, but I think he can have a join sponsor so that should help, but he def needs to be working since he's the one petitioning for your mom

Two years ago. I know it was ridiculously fast. So she did biometrics and got her green card a 2 weeks later.

She actually got her GC in the mail days before her AP/EAD card arrived.

I was very confused as well.

By the way, I know this is true because I prepared all the paperwork work, and sent the application.

Just bumping this so it doesn’t get deleted. Still no update for my mom and it’s been over 4 months.

I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) applications are currently taking around 6-7 months to process.

Did your brother also submit an I-485 (Adjustment of Status)? Or, will your mom be applying for a waiver, and then going through consular proceedings?

Just the I-130. That’s all we were told we needed for now. She did enter legally.
