If you did AP, what reason did you give? Was it easy? How long was the whole approval process? What was the maximum travel time allowed?

I am just hoping AP would return if nothing happens this year.

It was an extraordinary experience that I can't believe isn't available to us anymore.

I've documented my entire experience in my post http://dreamact.info/forum/showthread.php?t=72236

Nice, so for your case it was about a month. Interesting it would mail you just three days before the start request.

Did you have to prove the conference was critical? Did you attach recommendation letters?

I used AP 4 times, the least amount they gave me was 5 months and the most that was given to me was one full year (which is the maximum time allowed). It was super easy, and I used humanitarian reasons all 4 times (sick grandfather). The overall approval process takes a couple of months, between 1-2 months to process (at least that was my experience).

Did you have to provide new evidences everytime?

Looking at my history, with DACA, I used humanitarian reason (sick grandpa). The AP took about 4 months for me because they requested evidence...the translation wasn't from an approved company. Had to redo it from a certified company and was approved right after they received it. If everything goes smoothly, it's 3months.

I didn’t discover AP until the summer of 2016 and I wished I knew of it sooner before that dumb Cheeto got elected president. As soon as I found out I made an appointment with a lawyer to get the process started as soon as possible.

I applied with the reason that I wanted to see my grandfather. All they really care about is the money anyways. It took 2 months for me to get approved from June 22 to August 23. But my travel dates were Sep 30 - Nov 30.

I left the first week of October and was only there for 2 weeks because I had to go back to work. It was an amazing experience being in my home country after 18 years and I wish I could go again. Hopefully one day soon I get the opportunity again.

Honestly this made depressed because I was waiting to be financially stable and the orange man changed it all.

I am in a similar boat... wish AP is still an option so I could visit someone I really like.
