Hello,

I'm two months away from filing my I751. I noticed that USCIS made some updates to I751. Does the update mean less interview or more interviews.

Link to I751 Update: https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/us...nce-form-i-751

I saw several articles online but some are saying that it's a good(less interviews) and other that's it means more interviews.

I will be filing jointly with my wife but I really dont want to go thought the whole interview process again if possible.

Does anyone have any info on this?

USCIS basically says that immigration officers don’t have to do an interview if 1) They can make a decision based on the first interview and evidence shows that the marriage is in good faith, 2) The form I-751 is filed after December 10, 2018, 3) No indication of fraud in the form I-751 or the supporting documents, and 4) the immigration case isn’t complex or has issues requiring a second interview.

USCIS practice before was to interview all applicants. This new guidance makes it easier for both applicants and immigration officers with less interviews
