Everyone enjoy their weekend. We are not getting bad news from SCOTUS today on #DACA. We are hearing varying opinions on how much "space" the SCOTUS has for more cases on their docket. Next update likely to come 9:30a Tuesday morning. Consider today good. Let's hope Tues is also.

UPDATE on #DACA: Supreme Court (#SCOTUS) decision on whether to take the case is UNLIKELY to be announced today.

Stay tuned with us for more updates.

Next Tues 1/22 is the next day we @NILC_org will be on #SCOTUS watch for announcements about which case, if any, #SCOTUS will hear later this Spring. I'm holding on to hope that they won't take up #DACA. But Census case seems very possible. Stay tuned!

You seem to know a lot. Do you think something is gonna happen with DACA this year?. Should we trust pelosi when she said she will pass the dream act in the first 100
Days?

This is the best f***ing news I had all day... After a terrible interview and another rejection email... What you guys do not understand is that if they take up the case then they would most likely going to rule against us one way or another. And as you can see from the shutdown shenanigans, politicians do not even care for United States Citizens. 800,000 United States Citizens have not gotten a pay check in close to a month. Please explain to me what makes you think that they will care about us when DACA is rescinded? I used to think that SCOTUS rescinding DACA would create an urgency as well, but I no longer think that way given how this shutdown has been playing out.

She technically did not say first 100 days. I believe she responded to a letter sent to her urging her to pass a permanent solution within the first 100 days. If you read the letter whe wrote back she said she will pass legislation to protect dreamers but did not set a time frame. She can pass legislation in the house but not all the way to the president.

The only thing we have right now is the pressure from the shutdown and hopefully the scotus not hearing the case if they dont hear it, it will pressure trump to actually compromise. Once the government is open and DHS is funded if we don't get anything out of it then its going to be a long time before we are back in the spotlight.
