If the Democrats counter offered the Dream Act for the Wall then I believe the chances of him accepting that is more than 50%... After all, Miller is not the president!

It is the economy, stupid! If the economy holds up like this then he still has a good chance of winning. Especially if we have a wacko like Kamala. Democrats are overconfident in SCOTUS not taking the case in the near term. Republicans are overconfident that they can force democrats to accept a deal by undermining DACA in the courts. Compromise scenario is difficult overcoming those positions.

Trump in exercising a second shutdown could force republicans to give greater concessions to democrats because of the negative political polling of a second shutdown. Trump isn’t in a position of leverage by invoking a second shutdown. Invoking a national emergency doesn’t give him leverage either. Dems could easily pounce and freeze any monies before building the wall begins

tays123 is spot on his analysis, GOP loss in 2018 was smaller than DNC loss in 2010. they lost their super majority. GOP gained 2 seats in senate and house losses were smaller than DNC loss in 2010. voters of presidents party dont turn out in good number in midterms. never underestimate his chances in 2020. if democrats nominate fake Indian Warren or half Indian Kamala to 2020, their chances will go down in toilet. only winning formula is Biden plus Beto. no socialist, uncompromising progressives, or goofy candidate should win DNC nomination. if Howard Schultz runs as independent he'll take mostly democrat leaning independent or conservative votes and will help Trumps reelection.
