Maybe she should have counter offered protection for TPS and DREAMERS for the wall... What a concept!

The fault is on both sides with DACA 'safe' until Supreme Court decides to get involved.

Democrats:
-don't want to give Trump a 'win' on wall; trade wall for DREAM Act
- are not open to drastic immigration changes (ie: four pillars) for DREAM Act
- use this issue for 2020 presidential campaign

GOP:
-only willing to give temporary protection (ie: BRIDGE Act) for full wall money
- use the excuse that Trump wants to wait for Supreme Court to decide
-will only think of path to citizenship for DREAMers if there's drastic cuts to immigration reform (four pillars)

Trump will claim victory with this 1.3 Billion in funding. He already built like 45 miles of fence/wall he is getting another 55 through this bill and he will find a way to get more money so technically he is building his wall

I am not blaming the Republicans as much as I blame the Democrats... Why? Because the Democrats supposedly want to help us but they do not act when the time comes... I do know that Trump proposed a half baked Bridge Act for the wall but why would you not counter him after the government was open?... It is a total disgrace...

It doesn't.
And in reality, some Democrats are actively advocating for us.

I feel I have a lot of resentment because I knew Hillary was a poor candidate against Trump... But it is what it is, I guess we need to continue living, nothing new here.

So what is the logical reason why the Democrats did not counter offer Trump after the government was open?! Wasn't the reason that they did not counter offer him during the shutdown was because they would get blamed for shutting down the government? What is the reason that they did not counter offer him afterwards? They care so much about us right? They want to help us right? What did your savior Dick Durbin do in the committee that decided to give Trump over a billion dollars for the wall? I thought AOC was different, but it seems like she is the same, but dressed in a different clothing. Instead of trying to negotiate with Trump, she is protesting in front of the White House!

So the aged out Dreamers won't get any relief again... The DACA recipients will still be in the limbo... Great!

I think that if dems proposed DACA legalization, they're worried Trump will shutdown the government in 3 days and blame dems. I do not think any proposals will come from dems. It makes no sense to say dems have no spine and at the same time expect them to have a spine and propose a DACA solution at the cost of getting blamed by republicans (a 2nd time).

Personally I don't think dreamers should depend on dem's good graces to get DACA legislation through. That's why I've said the best chance is for the republicans to call them out on it. That will keep the dems honest. But to call them out on it it requires the republicans to actually give a reasonable DACA for wall deal. The deal proposed during the shutdown was worse than Goodlatte.

Honestly, the best shot at DACA legislation now is for Trump to shutdown the government in 3 days and / or Trump & republicans to offer a reasonable DACA for wall deal. The chances of that happening now is unlikely given the recent events.
