I'm in CA. Got my real ID in the mail last week. Good for 5 years and expires on my Birthday (2024).

My DL was due for renewal. Went in. Took my EAD, W2, pay stub, and 2 utility bills to the visit. Got the Real ID DL about 2 weeks after the visit.
