Well I've got family with TPS. They are worthy of EADs as much as DACA people.

Isn't the point to make a big ask in the beginning, to leave some wiggle-room for negotiating? They probably know repubs will likely counter with "under age 16" and minimum 5, 8, 10 years or something else. It's a start.

Maybe just maybe if they tried to pass something REALISTIC people wouldn’t be accusing Dems of not trying to fight for us.

Lol at realistic. Have you paid attention? Anything realistic gets shot down by Republicans instantly as amnesty. No matter what "realistic" things are in it.

I wish the Dems would have also introduced the magic wand that they will be using to get 60 Yes votes for this bill in the Senate and then magnificiently be signed by Trump.

Let me make this clear for the slow, anything that grants us permanent stay, or relief in any form, is considered amnesty by the republicans. Yes, even daca is considered amnesty.

They are vehemently against amnesty in any way shape or form, they will fight until their last breaths to ensure we remain fucked. Their solution to our problem is to go back and apply legally to come in, through what method, they cant tell YOU!

Republicans will go further right no matter what, might as well start off in the extreme left.

That tactic has failed spectacularly thus far, given all the times similar bills have come up and died repeatedly. You dont keep doing something that doesn't work, at some point you have to switch it up.

Dreamers in this forum have tossed up many great ideas, and can instantly see the solution that could pass both houses and get a presidential signature, yet politicians somehow cant see the solution.

My favorite one is the one where we pay a fine of 5,000, money which gets used for the border wall. Its short, simple, effective, and thats why it wont be considered for public policy. It just makes too much sense.

Makes the almonds ring.
