Is Advanced Parole an option for emergency death in family??

I was hoping this day would not come so soon, and if it did I would have my life together..

My dad passed away yesterday. He lived back home in the Caribbean and I’m in California. This is a really tough situation for me losing a parent. I saw my dad two years ago when he came to visit in the states and now he’s gone. It’s really unfair that I can’t even attend the funeral because I only have DACA.
I read that AP was discontinued but they were gonna bring it back? Is this true?

I’m the last child out of seven kids. All my siblings are US citizens except for me and I just wanted to see my dad again one last time And I can’t go to the funeral. I’m in so much pain, my heart hurts a lot and I don’t know what to do. Any advice for me?

There is no AP for daca and reality is no sorry for your loss.

Can't even imagine being in your situation. I'm really sorry for your loss, and the fact that AP is gone and you can't go be with your family right now.

I’m really sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, the courts only restarted the DACA program for renewals only. Advance parole and new DACA requests have not been restored as of yet. We can hope that some time soon, an Appeals Court is compelled to restart the program fully including AP. I hope that day comes and you can visit your family. God Bless

sorry for your loss. unfortunately AP is not back but you can spread your story over social media and hopefully this might melt politicians hearts and might help bringing permanent solution or at least AP for for all of us.

I was in your position last year in January. My heart was broken, but there was nothing I could do about it . The worst part was that I hadn’t seen my dad since 2000. My condolences to you and your family, at least you got to spend time with him two years ago.
