So far what I have learned with lawyers, is that sometimes YOU have to be on top things when things don't seem right

USCIS should've cashed the check by now. What I would do in your case is, first have the lawyer check if they received a receipt yet. Next, I would check with USCIS to see if they have received anything.

It is always a possibility they lost your package.

Thanks that helps.. how long for waiver to be approved? Did you get approved the first time or did you have to submit additional paperwork?

We are still waiting on I-130 to be approved but our lawyer had me write a rough draft for EH Letter so we can start gathering docs to fill waiver as soon as I-130 is approved.

My waiver was approved within 10 months but I have heard others say it took more than a year. I was approved first time and did not have to send additional paperwork.

I think it is a good idea to start preparing for your waiver while you wait for your I-130.

Yeah I imagined they would ask. I don't remember in all honesty I was 12 so all I remember is being in a car.

It has been 5 months and still waiting to schedule an interview? That's a lot longer than I think. Where are you trying to schedule your interview?

I received a notice from NVC on 12/31/18 that they received all my paperwork and I'm currently in queue for an interview. My lawyer said it would take a minimum of 3 months. It has been about 3 and a half months. I'm going to the embassy in Juarez

I've heard people say they've had to wait 7-9 months for an interview in Juarez. So, you may have a while to go, yet

I guess it depends on how busy they are. I would image Juarez is one of the most busy location in the world.
