Never drink and drive so not sure if he deserves my pity. Good read nonetheless.

The not one but two DWIs makes it hard to have sympathy for him. Knowing what I know about drunks, if he were here, he'd probably get a 3rd one because that's how people are.

I know a Mexican guy who got his green card during the 1986 amnesty. What did he accomplish since then? 3 child support payments with 2 women; barely speaks English; and got his 3rd DWI a couple of months ago which is a felony. He just does not give a shit.

Canada is even more strict on DUIs, he wouldn’t even sniff the Canadian border.

After the first DUI I would of thought he learned his lesson.

I feel for him being alone not being able to see his family (that could happen to anyone of us) DUI or no DUI with the strict laws now.
Reading stories like these do worry me. Knowing I have a DUI under my belt! (this was 11 years ago) I didn't have the proper guidance and mentality I have now.

I feel bad for the pain his family is in due to his carelessness. I felt bad reading his article because DUI or not, it would be similar to what we'd experience being sent back.

.. but I don't feel bad that he was busted for putting himself and others in danger.
