Authorities arrested Yepez-Vega, identified as a Mexican national and recipient of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy.

Three undocumented aliens from Mexico were located in his vehicle.

What an idiot. Makes us all look bad. No sympathy from me.

Let that be a warning for those of you thinking of raiding Area 51 to rescue some aliens

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. He’s lucky he only got a year in jail, I would have given him 5 for putting civilians life at risk during his high speed chase.

I stopped myself from calling him dumb thinking maybe he had his parents with him in the car going to the store or something but dumbass was actually transporting people in a border city.

What if you get caught giving simple rides for your undoc uncle/aunt?

If you're at a CBP checkpoint, very bad things. Maybe not as bad as this guy but they'll probably try to get you on a similar charge.

While driving in a large city, probably nothing though the cops may ask for their ID. If you're in a small southern town then you might get an over-zealous cop who tries to dig more and more.
