They don't give a rats shit on a sympathetic level. That's not my point. What I'm saying with this, is that something will change. Maybe DACA won't be revoked. But there might be a crucial change to the policy.

Some of you take yourselves WAY WAY too seriously. A while ago, the Republicans passed a tax bill that fucked and will continue to fuck the taxpayers while benefiting the rich and corporations. They tried to killed the ACA (which MANY red republicans states benefit) that got Mccain to stop them.

They won't have pity for killing DACA at all. Anyone who thinks they wont kill it because DACA is TOO important is just plain delusional.

Now, do I think there will be some relief?

yeah why not, something

Don't get wrong, DACA time and time has proven its benefiting the country. In Cali alone, DACA recipients are paying over a billion in taxes. But republicans have a history of killing whats best for the USA.

Heres a good example

Republicans want Planned Parenthood gone, they think its a baby killing machine. Yet, they are not willing to offer single mothers any kind of aid. They think the baby should pay back the system. Planned parenthood does more than just abort fetuses. They educate people on sex, provide support for single mothers, they assist people people financially on medical exams and what not.

Why wouldn't you want to have Planned Parenthood?

I mean if DACA gets overturned we don't have much option. You can stay here illegally but you would be throwing away all those years of education to work a regular job under the table. You could marry someone, but I for one, think that's a huge commitment and wouldn't do it.

Having to leave would suck, but it's not the end of the world. Thankfully I got my shit together 2 years ago when I renewed and saw the outcome of the election, and will be getting my masters from a top 10 university at the end of the year. I might not have the same acquisitive power somewhere else, but I'll survive. Hopefully most of you are on the same boat, if not better off, but if you're not, take this as a wake up call and start working towards a better future.

I think the program will definitely get overturned. but everyone who currently has DACA and has kept their noses clean will get legalized. It will be a one time deal probably.

I don’t have DACA, but my husband does. We’ve talked about what we would do several times. We’re also in the middle of getting his waiver and visa approved to adjust status. It looks like they won’t get approved until after the Supreme Court decides on the future of DACA. One of our options is to just wait it out and have him work off the books somewhere if DACA ends before his approval on the waiver and such. However, I think if DACA does end then it would be complicated to tell with EADs who has DACA. I think they’ll have DACA recipients non-renew and just have EADs expire. In that case, my husband has his valid until March of 2021. If things get really complicated, there’s always immigrating to Canada as an option. I feel very bad for my in-laws who have TPS. They are really in the limbo, since theirs only got extended until January.

Really? The tax bill was a huge benefit to taxpayers, my tax bill was reduced and the tax cut was nice to see!

My taxes went down, yours didn't? Keeping more of my hard earned money is a good thing.
