You know it’s called comprehensive because it would cover everyone including dreamers

I think merit based is actually the right way to go about with immigration. To ensure that whoever you import, will be a net producer, not a net consumer.

Things like mastery of english language

Years in the US (In case they are illegals, assuming they've been here a long time without serious crimes on their record, at which point its probably easier to just integrate them than to root them out. Couldn't find them for a long time, you might as well just finish integrating them. It cheaper to just integrate them, it is less damaging to a community. They presumably already have US born kids at that point. Under current immigration law once that kid is 21, they are an instant greencard.)
Deportations cost $10,000 per illegal immigrant. Which multiply times the 20 million who have snuck or have been smuggled in.

$200,000,000,000 is the total pricetag for deportation of all illegal immigrants. Two Hundred Billion.
Money that could be much more wisely spent on infrastructure. Money that the US cannot afford to waste.
They say but oh wait congress can just pass a law that allows fining employers for hiring the undoc.
The chamber of representatives is democrat controlled. You need all 3 to pass a law. Unlikely to happen.

Seal up that border, adjust those who should be adjusted based on merit. Get rid of hardened criminals with multiple deportations and felonies on their record.

Educational Attainment, everyone knows the more educated the more money they can potentially make. The more tax revenue. The more benefit.

Job and Salary compared to native born. They are required to be paid more than native born, because all too often companies use foreigners as cheap disposable labor then throw them back to India, Mexico, etc.

Canada and Australia have the same system and white college liberals are not bitching about it.
